Egypt heads to Atlanta for Argentina clash

The Egypt national team has traveled to Atlanta ahead of its 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 clash against Argentina.

Axar.az reports that the team departed Dallas for Atlanta, a move confirmed by Egypt Football Association director Ibrahim Hassan.

According to the statement, the head coach and technical staff granted the players a day off following their exhausting 120-minute match against Australia.

Egypt advanced to the Round of 16 after defeating Australia in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw after regular and extra time.

Egypt will face defending world champions Argentina on July 7.
