Rodri named World Cup's best player

Spain midfielder Rodri has been named the best player of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Axar.az reports that the Spain international received the tournament's top individual award.

The Spain captain played in all eight of his team's matches during the World Cup. Although he did not score or register an assist, Spain conceded just one goal throughout the tournament and won the World Cup for the second time in its history.

Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final to claim their second world title.
