The match against Qarabag would be a difficult test for Dynamo Kyiv, highlighting the Azerbaijani club’s experience and European pedigree.

Axar.az reports that Former Ukrainian coach Oleksandr Sevidov made the remarks in an interview with Football 24.

“Qarabag is a very experienced team, while Dynamo, on the contrary, currently have a less experienced squad because many young players are involved. In my opinion, the team is not yet fully settled, which is why they are facing major problems in defense,” Sevidov said.

He added that Qarabag's European experience could play an important role:

“This will be a difficult confrontation because Qarabag know how to play both at home and away. Especially at this stage, their experience in European competitions can make a difference.”

Regarding the expected match scenario, Sevidov said Dynamo would likely need to take the initiative:

“Dynamo Kyiv need to win in order to advance. The team will have to attack. Will this benefit Qarabag? Probably yes, because Qarabag have played very well on counterattacks, especially away from home.”

He also emphasized that Dynamo would need to score:

“The Kyiv side needs to score a goal. Without that, there is no way around it. The team becomes very nervous when it does not score. There are many mistakes that are not forgiven at this level.”

Predicting the outcome, Sevidov said:

“I do not know what the score will be, but I hope both teams score. And I hope Dynamo Kyiv score at least one more goal.

The UEFA Conference League third qualifying round first-leg match between Dynamo Kyiv and Qarabag will take place tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. Baku time at Lublin Arena in Poland.

The return leg will be played on August 13 at 8:00 p.m. at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku.
