Romelu Lukaku agrees terms to join Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce have reached an agreement to sign Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku from Napoli, with the 33-year-old expected to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday evening.

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that Fenerbahce are set to pay Napoli €6 million for Lukaku, with a further €2 million in potential add-ons.

The striker has agreed personal terms worth €10 million per season.

Italian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that Lukaku has agreed to a one-year contract with an option for a second season.

Lukaku is expected to travel to Istanbul on a private jet from Belgium and undergo a medical before completing the move.

The transfer comes after Fenerbahce summer signing Vedat Muriqi suffered an injury, prompting the club to seek additional options in attack.

Lukaku made only seven appearances for Napoli across all competitions last season due to injuries, scoring once. He has previously played for Chelsea and Inter Milan, among other clubs.
