Round 2 of the Azerbaijan Premier League in football has kicked off.

Axar.az reports that in the opening match, Gabala hosted debutants Shafa on their home ground. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for the visitors. The only goal was scored by Mark Quel in the 69th minute.

In the other match of the day, Zira will test Imishli.

The game is set to start at 20:45.

It should be noted that the Round 2 matches Sabah – Sumgayit and Qarabag – Kapaz have been postponed due to European competitions. The round will conclude with 2 games on August 23.
