Shimal to play home games in Shamakhi

“Shimal,” which will compete in Azerbaijan’s First League, will play its home matches in Shamakhi.

Axar.az reports that the club’s press service, the team’s home matches will be played at the stadium of the Shamakhi Olympic Center. Shimal made the decision because the stadium at the Khachmaz Olympic Sports Complex was deemed unsuitable for First League matches.

The team will host Ganjabasar in the opening round of the First League on September 4.

It should be noted that Misli Premier League clubs Shamakhi and Araz-Nakhchivan play their home matches at the main stadium in Shamakhi.
