Harry Kane could miss Man United game - M.Pochettino

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed that his star man and the Premier League’s leading scorer, Harry Kane, is in doubt to face Manchester United on Saturday after sitting out the League Cup Wednesday.

Axar.az reports citing Sportsbank that, Kane missed Tottenham’s 3-2 upset to West Ham in the tournament’s fourth round, and the reason apparently goes beyond just simple rest and recovery.

It is no certainty that Harry Kane will be a part of the Tottenham side that tangles with United at Old Trafford on Saturday.

“We’ll see, we’ll see,” Pochettino told beIN Sports when asked if Kane would be in action for the match that is this weekend’s headliner.

“We need to assess the team because we were forced to rotate for different reasons and we’ll see what happens in the next few days.”

Kane is currently scoring on a pace that would earn him his third straight Golden Boot. He’s got league goals on the season and 11 in his past eight across all competitions. No Harry Kane would obviously be a huge setback for Spurs in this match-up of the two teams five points behind Manchester City for the top of the table.

Pochettino obviously did the best thing for his side by playing it coy regarding the status of the young English superstar.

Of course, United has their own injury crisis with Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marouane Fellaini all out long term, with news today that Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford could also be a doubtful of the big match against Tottenham on Saturday.
