The opening ceremony of the Third European Games has begun in Krakow, Poland.

Axar.az reports that up to 7,000 athletes from 48 countries are participating in the ceremony held at "Visla" stadium.

13 types of sports at the Azerbaijan Games - archery (1 person, Krakow city), badminton (4 people, Tarnów city), beach soccer (12 people, Tarnów city), boxing (12 people, Novy Targ city), fencing (12 people, Krakow city), judo (11 people, city of Krynica-Zdroj), karate (8 people, city of Bielsko-Biala), muay thai (4 people, city of Mislenice), kickboxing (2 people, city of Krakow), padel (2 people, Krakow), represented by 86 athletes in shooting (10 people, Wrocław), taekwondo (8 people, Krynica-Zdroj) and triathlon (1 person, Krakow).

It should be noted that the 1st European Games were held in Baku in 2015, and the 2nd European Games were held in Minsk 4 years later.
