Barcelona officials visit Azerbaijan for academy project

Barcelona FC's Head of Academies for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), Marc Sabaté Ferrer, along with the club’s Technical Coordinator for European and African Academies, Bernat Villa Ay Gorris, have arrived in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the representatives of the La Liga giant first visited "ASK Arena" today.

After inspecting the main stadium, the visitors toured the athlete accommodations, stadium facilities, and surrounding areas.

Later, the Barcelona officials visited "Liv Bona Dea Arena," where they explored the players’ accommodations, fitness center, locker rooms, and other facilities.

Officials from the Azerbaijan Football Federation (AFFA) accompanied them during their visits.

Notably, the purpose of Barcelona’s visit is related to the potential opening of an academy in Azerbaijan.
