The European Cup in rhythmic gymnastics, held in Baku, has come to an end.
Axar.az reports on the final and fourth day of the competition, junior gymnasts competed in both individual and group routines using various apparatus.
Senior athletes took part in crossover matches.
In the individual hoop routine, Ukraine's Lyubov Horashchenko won gold, Poland's Ksenia Ziziyk took silver, and Azerbaijan's Shams Agahuseynova claimed the bronze medal.
In group routines, the Azerbaijani national team reached the podium twice.
In the 5 hoops event, Bulgaria came in first, Israel second, and the Azerbaijani team—comprising Nazrin Abdullayeva, Ayan Nasirova, Nazrin Salmanli, Ilaha Bahadirova, Shams Muvaffaqqi, and Nilufar Orujlu—secured third place. In the 5 clubs routine, Bulgaria topped the podium again, followed by Italy in second and Azerbaijan in third.
In the crossover matches, Italy's Sofia Raffaelli won gold, Uzbekistan’s Lola Djuraeva took silver, and Ukraine’s Taisiya Onofriichuk earned bronze. Along with medals, winners also received cash prizes.
It’s worth noting that over 170 gymnasts from 25 countries took part in the competition.
