Azerbaijan national team became world champion

Azerbaijan’s national minifootball team has been crowned world champions at the tournament held in Baku.

Axar.az reports that the team, led by Elshad Guliyev, faced Hungary in the final match.

The game, held at the National Gymnastics Arena, ended in a 4–2 victory for the home side.

Temkin Khalilzade (2'), Mahammad Khalilov (8'), and Ravan Karimov (10', 29') scored the goals for Azerbaijan.

Earlier in the day, Serbia secured third place with a 3–0 win over Montenegro.
