Azerbaijani judoka defeats Armenian rival by ippon at EYOF

Azerbaijani judoka Məhəmməd Ağakişiyev (Muhammed Aqakishiyev - 73 kg) has defeated his Armenian opponent by ippon at the 18th European Youth Summer Olympic Festival (EYOF) held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.

Axar.az reports that the information was provided by the press service of the National Olympic Committee.

Starting his campaign in the round of 16, Ağakişiyev faced Tigran Sarukhanyan and secured a decisive victory by ippon, advancing to the quarterfinals.

It should be noted that earlier, Amin Mehdiyev (81 kg) also advanced to the quarterfinal round.
