Apple violated EU competition laws

The European Commission has found Apple to be in breach of new EU laws aimed at giving competition to smaller companies and allowing consumers to find cheaper and alternative apps in the app store ("App Store").

Axar.az reports that "Guardian" published information about this.

The European Commission has sent preliminary results to Apple after the investigation started in March.

"App" has for a long time suppressed innovative companies and refused to give new opportunities and choices to consumers," European Commissioner for Digital Markets Thierry Breton wrote in the X account.

It should be noted that the new digital laws require the "App" to provide the opportunity for developers to inform their customers about cheaper purchase opportunities and direct them to these offers for free.
