As we reported, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is on an official visit to the Republic of Turkiye.
Axar.az reports that the head of the country visited Anitkabir and Heydar Aliyev's monument within the framework of the visit.
President Ilham Aliyev wrote these words in the memorial notebook in Anitkabir:
"I commemorate the dear memory of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the great son of the Turkish world, a talented general and a genius leader, with the most sincere respect and reverence. The great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk wrote his name forever on the pages of world history and in the hearts of his people by establishing the Republic of Turkiye, which is his greatest work, a hundred years ago.
As the president of Brother Azerbaijan, I am particularly proud to see the current level of development, prosperity and power of the state founded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and its reputation in the global world.
It is the supreme duty of both countries to protect the indestructible Azerbaijan-Turkiye brotherhood, unity and solidarity, which is the greatest wealth of our peoples, and to present it to future generations, to develop and strengthen our strategic alliance in all directions.
The dear memory of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a great personality who knew the joy of Azerbaijan as his joy and his sorrow as his own, will always live in the hearts of the people of Azerbaijan. May his soul be happy."
