US presidential candidate Donald Trump made his first statement to the media after the assassination attempt during the election rally in Pennsylvania.

Axar.az reports that Trump thanked the law enforcement officers for their quick reactions.

"Most importantly, I offer my condolences to the victim's family and wish the injured a speedy recovery. It is unthinkable that something like this could happen in our country," he said.

It should be noted that Trump left the hospital where he was placed after the assassination attempt and flew to New Jersey at night. It was noticed that he got off the plane freely and confidently, without anyone's help.
