Specialists from the special-purpose electronic warfare unit of the U.S. Air Force’s 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing have upgraded the Ukrainian Air Force's F-16 aircraft to better resist Russia's air defense systems.

Axar.az reports that "Defense Express" released this information, citing the U.S. Armed Forces.

It is noted that American specialists worked with equipment that is not even available to the U.S. Air Force. Experts believe it concerns the ECIPS/CJS pod, previously seen on Ukrainian fighters:

"It was developed by Denmark's Terma and Italy's Leonardo. This is not only a powerful digital electronic warfare station but also one that detects missile attack threats."

Experts believe that with the upgraded electronic warfare systems, Ukrainian F-16s will feel safer in the skies and achieve better results when attacking Russian air defense systems.
