Russian President Vladimir Putin has authorized the launch of the new nuclear submarine "Perm".

Axar.az reports that the ceremony took place during the head of state's visit to the Murmansk region.

"Perm" is Russia's 4th generation multi-purpose nuclear submarine. It is the sixth ship of the "Yasen" family of project 885/885M, built by "Sevmash".
