Ramaphosa holds talks with Macron, Stubb, Zelensky

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa held phone conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the Ukraine crisis and ways of resolving it peacefully.

Axar.az reports, according to the South African presidential administration, additional phone talks with other European leaders will take place in the coming days and weeks.

“Ramaphosa highly valued the information provided to him by Russian President Vladimir Putin following Putin’s recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. During the discussions, the parties openly exchanged views, emphasized South Africa’s role in engaging with both sides of the conflict, and expressed support for our president’s efforts. The goal is to bring an end to hostilities in Ukraine,” the statement said.
