Forest fires break out in Denizli and Malatya

Forest fires have broken out in Turkiye’s Denizli and Malatya provinces.

Axar.az reports, according to Turkish media, the fire in the Pamukkale district of Denizli started in a forested area for unknown reasons and quickly spread due to strong winds. Three planes, 11 helicopters, 50 water trucks, and firefighting teams have been deployed to the scene.

In Malatya’s Doğanyol district, another forest fire of unknown origin has also broken out. One house located in the forested area was burned down. Firefighters have been dispatched to the site.

Efforts are currently underway to extinguish the fires from both the air and the ground.
