U.S. shutdown halts NATO arms deliveries for Ukraine

The delivery of weapons to NATO allies for Ukraine has been halted due to the U.S. government shutdown.

Axar.az reports, citing Axios, that a source in the U.S. State Department:

“The government shutdown severely harms not only our allies and partners but also U.S. industry by blocking the delivery of many critical capabilities abroad,” the report said.

The source noted that the shutdown has affected arms deliveries such as AMRAAM missiles, Aegis combat systems, and HIMARS launchers to allies, including Denmark, Croatia, and Poland.
