Kallas urges Armenia to join tough EU sanctions on Russia

The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has called on Armenia to join the EU's tough sanctions against Russia.

Axar.az reports that she said this at a press conference after the meeting of the EU-Armenia Cooperation Council, which was also attended by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"The world order is changing, and the alignment of strategic positions with the EU's common foreign policy is very important for our partners, including Armenia. The level of alignment of Armenia's foreign policy with EU decisions is currently 37%. The sanctions we have imposed against Russia are tough for the EU, but despite this, we demand the same from our partners," she said.
