The US has significantly increased military aviation flights off the coast of Venezuela
Axar.az reports that this was contained in the data of the aviation resource "Flightradar24".
It was noted that at least 17 flights of various types of aircraft and strategic reconnaissance drones were recorded.
In particular, on December 13, the largest group of American military aircraft ever sent from the aircraft carrier "USS Gerald Ford" to the coast of Venezuela. Among them were four "F/A-18F Super Hornet" fighter jets, two "EA-18G Growler" electronic warfare aircraft, and two "E-2D Advanced Hawkeye" long-range radar detection aircraft. On December 12, a joint flight of two "F/A-18F Super Hornet" fighter jets and two "EA-18G Growler" electronic warfare aircraft was carried out, and earlier two "F/A-18F Super Hornet" fighter jets took off.
At the beginning and end of the week, the US Navy's MQ-4C Triton strategic electronic reconnaissance drones made long-range flights over northwestern Venezuela. The drones, which took off from the Jacksonville base in Florida, occasionally approached the Venezuelan coast at a distance of 150-250 km.
In addition, the US B-52H Stratofortress strategic bomber made another flight off the coast of Venezuela. The aircraft, which took off from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, flew over international waters of the Caribbean Sea for a long time and was even seen 200 km from the Venezuelan capital, Caracas.
Last week, five US military aircraft were recorded flying near Venezuela. Among them were two F/A-18F Super Hornet fighters, one E-3B Sentry (AWACS) radar detection aircraft and two B-52H Stratofortress strategic bombers.
American media have emphasized that Washington continues to intensify its pressure campaign on Venezuela, thereby trying to achieve the resignation of the country's leader, Nicolas Maduro.
