Businessman Elon Musk has become the first person in history to reach a fortune of $700 billion.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Forbes magazine.

The magazine noted that Musk’s wealth increased after the Delaware Supreme Court overturned a lower court ruling.

Under that ruling, a $139 billion compensation package granted to Musk in the form of Tesla shares had been declared invalid. However, according to calculations, following a successful appeal, Musk’s fortune reached a record level of $749 billion.

It is worth noting that earlier the magazine had already named Musk as the first person whose wealth exceeded $600 billion.
