Russia launches around 500 drones and 40 missiles at Kyiv

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian forces launched approximately 500 drones and 40 missiles at Kyiv over the past 24 hours.

Axar.az reports that he wrote about this on his Telegram page.

“Another Russian attack is still ongoing. Since last night, around 500 drones, a significant number of ‘Shaheds,’ as well as 40 missiles, including ‘Kinzhal’ missiles, have been launched. The main targets of the attacks are Kyiv’s energy and civilian infrastructure,” the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelensky also emphasized that residential buildings were damaged as a result of Russia’s combined strikes.

“In some districts of the capital and the region, there is no electricity or heat supply. Firefighting efforts are currently underway. Repair teams have already begun work at some energy facilities, while at others personnel remain in shelters — rescuers and repair crews will start work as soon as air raid alerts end,” he added.

It should be noted that earlier reports said people were injured as a result of the strikes on Kyiv.
