Trump invites Erdogan to join Gaza Peace Committee

US President Donald Trump has invited his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to become a founding member of the Gaza Peace Committee.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration.

He said that within this framework, a Peace Council and its bodies are being established, which will be responsible for ensuring security and reconstruction in Gaza.

It should be noted that the White House has announced the members of the Peace Council, which will manage the transition process in Gaza. Turkiye will be represented in the Executive Council, which will support the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
