Trump: It’s time to look for new leadership in Iran

President Donald Trump on Saturday called for an end to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s 37-year reign.

Axar.az reports that “It’s time to look for new leadership in Iran,” Trump told POLITICO, as widespread protests calling for an end to the regime appear to have waned.

US President Donald Trump called for an end to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s 37-year rule in Iran, criticizing the Iranian leadership for widespread violence and mismanagement.

Trump praised the recent cancellation of over 800 planned executions and condemned Tehran for relying on repression and fear to maintain control. The remarks came amid ongoing protests in Iran and hostile posts from Khamenei accusing Trump of causing unrest and casualties.

Trump emphasized that leadership should be based on respect, not violence, and denounced Khamenei personally, calling him “a sick man” and condemning Iran’s governance.
