Death sentence for soldiers refusing to fire at protesters

An Iranian court has sentenced a soldier named Javid Khalis to death for refusing to follow orders to shoot at protesters during demonstrations in Isfahan city.

Axar.az reports that the Iranian Human Rights Organization provided this information.

It was stated that the soldier, who refused the order to open fire, was arrested and transferred to prison, and a death sentence was issued against him shortly thereafter.

So far, it has not been possible to obtain information on the specific charges brought against him.
