Marc-André ter Stegen leaves Barcelona on loan to Girona

German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has left FC Barcelona.

Axar.az reports that the club’s press service released this information.

It was stated that Marc-André ter Stegen has been loaned to Girona until the end of the season. The player will wear the Girona jersey until June 30, 2026.

Note that the German goalkeeper transferred to Barcelona from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2014. During his time at Barcelona, he played 423 matches, making him the second-most capped goalkeeper after Víctor Valdés (534). Over 11 and a half seasons at the Catalan club, he won six La Liga titles, six Copa del Rey trophies, one UEFA Champions League, five Spanish Super Cups, one UEFA Super Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup.
