US President Donald Trump announced the creation of an international organization called the Gaza Peace Council and invited the Republic of Azerbaijan to become a founding member state.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan.

“The Republic of Azerbaijan has accepted the invitation and expressed its intention to become a founding member state of the Peace Council to the attention of the US side. An official confirmation letter regarding our country’s membership in the Peace Council will be sent to the US, and relevant measures will be taken in accordance with the required procedures. As always, Azerbaijan is ready to actively contribute to international cooperation, peace, and stability,” the MFA statement said.
