Congress deadlock triggers US federal shutdown

The US federal government has partially suspended its operations (shutdown).

Axar.az reports that this information was released by US media.

It is stated that the cause is disagreements in Congress regarding the funding of the Department of Homeland Security.

It should be noted that the US government previously declared a shutdown from October 1 to November 14 last year. This was the longest government shutdown in US history. During that shutdown, essential service sectors were affected, and hundreds of thousands of federal employees experienced weeks of delayed pay.
