Satellite imagery shows Iran has built new roofs over bombed buildings at its Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities, likely to conceal recovery operations after Israeli and U.S. strikes during last year’s 12-day war.

Axar.az, citing AP, reports that experts say the coverings are not signs of reconstruction but an attempt to obscure efforts to salvage sensitive materials, possibly including enriched uranium, while blocking outside monitoring.

Iran continues to deny inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency access to the sites.

The developments come as tensions rise over Iran’s violent crackdown on nationwide protests and growing pressure from Washington.

President Donald Trump has demanded a new nuclear deal and moved U.S. naval forces into the region, though it remains unclear whether military action will follow. Satellite images also show Iran expanding underground work near Natanz and rapidly rebuilding a missile-linked site at Parchin, raising fresh concerns about the country’s nuclear and military capabilities.
