Iran says war can be avoided, seeks to prevent conflict

According to official Tehran, war is not inevitable and can be prevented.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in an interview with CNN.

According to the head of the Iranian foreign policy department, his country is fully prepared for war, but this does not mean that official Tehran wants war: "On the contrary, we want to avoid war."

Araghchi said that Iran has lost trust in the US side in the negotiations:

"The reason is clear. In previous years, we held negotiations, and everyone mentioned the nuclear deal, but the US withdrew from it without any reason. If we look at last year, when we decided to start negotiations, first Israel and then the US attacked us during the negotiations. Therefore, we do not have a positive experience with the Americans. This distrust must be eliminated for the negotiations to be "real."
