Death toll from heavy Japan snow hits 30

Japan's Fire and Disaster Management Agency says harsh winter conditions and snow-related accidents over the last 14 days have left 30 people dead.

Axar.az informs, citing NHK, snow is still falling in coastal areas along the Sea of Japan, due to a winter pressure pattern and an overhead cold air mass.

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi held a special cabinet-level meeting on Tuesday morning to instruct ministers to do all they can to prevent deaths and accidents.
