Kazakh President arrives in Pakistan on a state visit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Pakistan on a state visit.

Axar.az reports that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's plane was escorted by fighter jets in Pakistani airspace.

A guard of honor was formed in honor of the Kazakh leader at Islamabad International Airport, and a 21-gun salute was fired at the welcoming ceremony.

Tokayev was welcomed at the airport by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
