Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei did not hold a traditional meeting with the commanders of the Air Force on the occasion of "19 Bahman" (February 8).

According to the information, the commanders of the Air Force held the meeting ceremony at the mausoleum of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini, in Tehran. The event took place without the participation of Khamenei.

It is noted that for the first time in the last 47 years, the country's supreme leader does not hold a joint meeting with the Air Force at the event dedicated to the memory of Khomeini on the occasion of 19 Bahman.

It should be noted that on 19 Bahman 1357 (February 8, 1979, according to the Gregorian calendar), the technical staff of the Air Force, which entered the army during the Shah's reign, met with Ruhollah Khomeini in Tehran and swore an oath of allegiance to him.
