Pashinyan hails new peace reality in South Caucasus

The visit of the US Vice President takes place in the context of unprecedented realities such as the establishment of peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

Axar.az reports that these words were made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a press conference after he met with US Vice President James David Vance.

He expressed gratitude to him and US President Donald Trump for the historic meeting held in Washington on August 8.

“With the personal participation of President Trump, peace was established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. After the Washington Peace Summit, President Ilham Aliyev and I nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in a joint letter, and I hope that the President will receive this award in 2026. Vice President Vance’s visit is an important step in peace and the expansion of the Armenia-US strategic partnership.”
