Drone strike kills officer at Iraqi intelligence HQ - Video

A drone strike by “outlaw groups” targeted the headquarters of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service in Baghdad.

Axar.az reports, citing Al-Jazeera, the strike hit a communications building that houses an Iraqi security agency working with U.S. advisers and as a result killed one police officer.

Another drone filming the operation crashed into a private sports club popular with elites and foreign diplomats.

The attack occurred just hours after at least three drone strikes targeted a U.S. military and diplomatic hub near Baghdad International Airport.

Iraq has been increasingly affected by the regional conflict triggered by U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran, with Iran-backed groups retaliating through near-daily attacks on U.S. interests, mostly in Iraq.
