Rosatom reduces presence at Bushehr NPP to minimum

The situation at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran has seriously escalated following new military strikes.

Axar.az reports, citing a statement by the head of the State Corporation "Rosatom," Alexei Likhachev, that the situation at the facility continues to develop according to a "negative scenario."

According to official data, another strike was carried out on Tuesday evening in the immediate vicinity of the active Power Unit No. 1.

Rеports confirm that combined forces from Israel and the United States conducted new strikes on the site.

While the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) initially reported no technical damage to the primary reactor or casualties among staff, the proximity of the impacts—reportedly within several hundred meters of active power units—has triggered emergency protocols.

Of the approximately 640 Russian specialists who were at the site earlier this month, the majority have now been moved as part of the staggered evacuation waves. Work at the construction sites for Units 2 and 3 remains completely suspended.
