Netanyahu effigy burned in Spain festival

In the Spanish city of Malaga, an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was burned this year as part of the annual “burning of evil” tradition, which dates back to the 1940s.

Axar.az informs that the statement was made by Maria Dolores Narvaez, a member of the Socialist Workers’ Party led by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

“Following Holy Week, this tradition symbolizes the burning of evil and the rebirth of good during Easter. The chosen effigy also carries a message against war and genocide,” she said.
