Trump says he may rethink NATO defense commitments

The United States will carefully re-examine its policy within NATO, US President Donald Trump said.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, that "We spend trillions of dollars on NATO to help them guard really against Russia, and I think that’s going to be under very serious examination," he told reporters at Joint Base Andrews.

It should be noted that Trump has continued his harsh rhetoric toward NATO countries, criticizing them for not supporting efforts to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
