Lebanon–Israel ceasefire to take effect tonight

A week-long ceasefire regime between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon will be established starting tonight.

Axar.az reports, citing Al Mayadeen, the truce would extend through the period of the Iran–US ceasefire framework.

Israeli media have also confirmed ongoing discussions about a possible ceasefire, with Israel’s cabinet set to review the proposal at the request of the United States.

It is noted that negotiations between Lebanese and Israeli officials took place in the United States yesterday. As a result of the talks, the parties reached an agreement on the full disarmament of Hezbollah.
