Significant differences remain in Iran–US negotiations

United States and Iran are still facing significant differences in negotiations, including on nuclear issues.

Axar.az reports that a senior Iranian official told Reuters that no agreement has been reached on the details of the nuclear file and that serious negotiations are still required to overcome existing disagreements.

He added that any narrative suggesting otherwise is a misrepresentation of the situation.

According to the report, discussions are ongoing across multiple tracks, including nuclear issues, as part of broader efforts to reach a preliminary understanding in the coming days with mediation efforts involving Pakistan.

The official also noted that any potential extension of a ceasefire could create space for further talks on sanctions relief and other related issues.

It was further stated that Iran would provide assurances regarding the peaceful nature of its nuclear program in exchange for progress in negotiations.
