Sharif, Pezeshkian hold telephone conversation

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he held a warm and constructive phone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the evolving regional situation.

Axar.az reports, in a post on X, Sharif said he welcomed Iran’s engagement, including the dispatch of a high-level delegation to Islamabad for what he described as historic talks, as well as recent discussions with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in Tehran.

He added that he also shared insights from his recent contacts with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkiye.

Sharif said Pakistan, with the support of its friends and partners, remains fully committed to serving as an honest and sincere facilitator for lasting peace and regional stability.
