The Republican People’s Party (CHP) is a party with deep roots that founded and shaped the state.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by CHP’s new leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu in remarks to journalists.

He said that the CHP must preserve its moral values and moral integrity:

“I promise you all that we will return the CHP to its founding principles. Our party has been heavily criticized. Until now, there had been no criticism regarding the party’s moral values, but now there is. We must correct these moral values. In this process, we must carefully avoid rhetoric that could divide the party’s core. I am choosing my words very carefully because we must avoid any rhetoric that could fracture the party’s foundation and create hostility.”

It should be noted that an Ankara court annulled the results of the CHP’s 2023 congress. As a result, Ozgur Ozel was removed from the leadership, and former leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu was reinstated.
