Iran-US talks on ending war still ongoing

Talks and consultations on the points of disagreement are still underway.

Axar.az informs, citing Tasnim, a source close to the negotiating team said about the latest talks about finding a way to end the war against Iran, “Talks and consultations on the points of disagreement are still ongoing and no final result has been reached yet.”

The source added that the Pakistani mediator is still exchanging issues between the two sides.

The informed source emphasized that the focus is currently on the issue of "ending the war" and until this issue is finalized, no other issue will be negotiated.

“Some progress has been made on some issues compared to previous talks, but until all the points of disagreement are resolved, no agreement will be reached,” the source added.

The informed source at the same time underlined that the texts released by some Western sources about the details of the ageement are not accurate.

It is also noted that Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, visited Tehran the previous day as part of mediation efforts.
