Earl Rasmussen explains White House bunker plan

A retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel, Earl Rasmussen, has claimed that a six-storey underground bunker is being built beneath a new ballroom at the White House.

Axar.az reports, citing RIA Novosti, that Rasmussen said the facility is likely designed to protect against nuclear weapons.

“It is most likely designed to protect against nuclear weapons,” the retired officer said.

It should be noted that earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the construction of a secret underground bunker beneath the future White House ballroom, saying that three floors of the structure have already been completed. According to him, the complex will include a military hospital, special rooms, and conference halls. Trump also presented the project to journalists during a tour of the construction site.
