UAE reimposes ban on Iranian ships entering its ports

The United Arab Emirates has once again banned all Iranian vessels, including ships and boats, from entering its ports and port terminals.

Axar.az informs, citing Iranian media, that port and terminal authorities across the UAE were informed that the new ban took effect on Friday, July 31.

Iranian vessels that were already docked at UAE ports when the decision was issued were also ordered to leave the country. The last of the Iranian ships departed UAE ports no later than Monday, August 3.

UAE officials have not yet provided any explanation for the decision or indicated when the ban might be lifted.

It should be noted that this is the second port ban imposed by the UAE on Iranian vessels since the outbreak of the recent war involving Iran, Israel and the United States.
