Russia strikes Ukraine’s port infrastructure, vessels

Russian forces carried out overnight drone strikes on August 17 targeting port infrastructure and vessels.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that according to the Defense Ministry, the vessels were being used in the interests of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the port of Odesa, a Tarantul-class patrol boat that was providing security for vessels was hit, along with fuel storage tanks.

At the port of Izmail, Russian forces struck a berthing terminal used to unload vessels carrying military cargo, hangars housing Western-made military equipment, and warehouses storing unmanned boats.
