12 suspects detained in second Kuris operation in Turkiye

A second large-scale operation has been carried out in Turkiye as part of an investigation into the “Alihan Kuris criminal organization.”

Axar.az reports, citing Turkish media, that 12 suspects were detained in the operation.

Authorities are continuing efforts to locate and arrest one fugitive.

Those detained include alleged leaders of the organization, as well as former officials of hospitals and IT companies.

It should be noted that on August 13, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into the “Alihan Kuris criminal organization.” Around 40 people, including Alihan Kuris, the leader of the Suleymanci religious group, were detained. They were charged with creating and joining a criminal organization, money laundering, fraud, and tax evasion.
