From 08:30 on August 15 to 08:30 on August 22, 2,652 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were launched toward the Moscow region.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, that according to the Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, most of the UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces at a considerable distance from Moscow.

“As they approached Moscow, 493 UAVs were shot down. Another five UAVs approaching the capital were neutralized today. There have been no reports of deaths or injuries, or of any damage. Restrictions were imposed on aircraft arrivals and departures at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports. The airports are currently operating normally,” he said.
